Project 3 Final: Sorcerer’s Trial

The Story:

The place I created is a fantasy location where those training in magic must venture in order to progress their magic abilities.  This is a traditional trial where sorcerer’s are sent by those who have a higher grasp on their magic.  The location occurs within the sorcerer in training, while their actual body is still quite present in the real world.  The appearance of the location is determined by the memories of the sorcerer. It can be distant ones or just what they saw ten minutes ago.  Same can be said about the doors surrounding them.  Each one leads to a separate challenge they must go through.  Each door trial is completely different for every person, so there isn’t a true way to prep for each door.  The memories of this sorcerer are rather distorted as they remembered traumas when navigating inside themselves.  That’s the reason the ground they stand upon is so shattered and unclear.

Project 2: Interior

Once I got into the groove of textures and seeing what I could play around with makes me a lot more interested in what I can fully do for my final upcoming project for the class.  This assignment taught me how to apply textures and what I can use with the clever use of lighting to create an environment.

Project 1: Blockville

With this project I was able to learn the basics of how to work and run Maya so I'm to construct objects, and buildings.  As seen my grasp of Maya is minimal as I still have some progression to do in order to make the blocks look more fluid and normal.  In other words I learned how to create a setting but now I aim to learn how to make a better setting.
